I spent last week in Elko Nevada. And now I know why I got the reaction I did when I said I was going to Elko. Why did I go to Elko? To a Supplier Summit given by one of my customers Newmont Mining. In conjunction with the summit I was able to go visit a couple of the mine sites. Now that was cool. This was not like going to Kennecott where you look down (althought that is awesome) ... but I was actually traveling behind a big haul truck... wow I can not imagine how intimidating it must be to drive one of those. Here are just a few photos of Tuesday.
This was an amazing trip in so many ways. More to come.
